OSG Billing Services is dedicated to sustainability because we value our employees, customers and the communities in which they live. Preserving the environment can be viewed as a way of doing business, not a cost of doing business.
|
To demonstrate our dedication to the environment, OSG has implemented the following initiatives:
|

Environmentally Conscious Facilities
Both our New Jersey and Arizona locations utilize low ambient air conditioning, high efficiency lighting, sensor lighting and Energy Star compliant printers that use less toner and electricity than standard printers.
|
| |

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
OSG employs waste prevention and management practices that encourage reusing and recycling. All toner and ink jet cartridges are recycled and reusable or recyclable packaging is used whenever possible. All paper used on our premises is recyclable and we recycle all of our waste for corrugated and white paper. |
| |

Proper Paper Sourcing
All paper used by OSG has the Forest Stweardship Council (FSC) and Sustainable Forestry Initiative® (SFI®) labels. This means that the paper comes from forests that are managed to meet the social, economic, and ecological needs of present and future generations. |
| |

Printing on Demand
At OSG, we print a job when it is submitted rather than printing in advance and storing pre-printed materials in our warehouses. This method saves space and resources, and ensures that printed materials do not become outdated, reducing waste by as much as 30%. |
| |

Adapting the Latest Workflow Technologies
OSG now sends soft proofs to customers delivered electronically as a PDF for their review. Our Automated Document Factory (ADF) workflow is also digital, allowing us to receive transmissions over the web, reducing time, labor, energy and paper usage. |
| |

Maximizing the Page
Each page of each document is maximized through design and layout evaluation and duplex printing. Adjusting margins, graphics and landscape versus portrait layout can help to significantly reduce the pages of a document. |
